These sculptural, channel-tufted chairs exemplify 1970s Postmodern glamour and offer strong visual appeal with their plush, modular upholstery and cantilevered brass bases. The label from Finesse Furniture Ltd is intact and present on five of the six of the chairs.
The distinct silhouette of these chairs defined by stacked, contoured cushions and bold lines recalls the maximalist interiors popularized by designers like Steve Chase, while their construction and proportions also nod to the Art Deco revival and Hollywood Regency influences of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
