About the Item
Woven Leather Ottoman of Foot Stool inspired by a pair of c1910-1920 French Woven Leather Club Chairs, that we also produce in house and offer on 1stdibs. The process to create Woven Leather Ottomans is very time consuming as one might imagine and larger sizes can be special ordered at a premium. Thick Leather strapping is first vegetable tanned and hand-colored with a combination of mineral dyes, waxes and layers of thinned shellac, in order to give the Leather Ottomans that patinated rich old Worn Leather appearance. The pair shown here are a near-pair, off slightly in dimension and color, but certainly work as a pair. Please note dimensions below:
**Measurements provided are for the Leather Ottoman on right, which is slightly larger. The leather Ottoman on the left is 16" high, 21.5" wide and 19" deep.
