Beni Ourain pouf Make your space completely unique with this gorgeous custom designed Moroccan Beni Ourain pouf. This Moroccan pouf is made from a beautiful authentic vintage Beni Ourain rug. The old rugs are beautiful because of their life and history. That’s why we only select the old ones. They were made for domestic use. The creator's heart and soul is in it. They used them to protect themselves against the harsh cold winters in the mountains. Adding a cozy and sophisticated touch to your space will be easy with this one-of-a-kind pouf. The Beni Ourain are a group of 17 Berber tribes in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The Beni Ourain rug was originally used as a warm blanket or cape, protecting the cold winters of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. The Moroccan wool rugs are characterized by a simple abstract geometric motif, hand knotted from pure wool. We think the vintage Beni rugs possess real character and spirit. It's an expression of the daily life of the woman who made it. The wool is cream colored. It can have some differences in tone depending the wool color of the sheep. Truly Snowy white Beni Ourains don't exist because they are made from pure wool and are undyed.
