About the Item
Woven Leather Ottoman in the Style of Arts
Craft or possible early Art Deco that was custom made in our Upholstery Department. Whether by itself or positioned next a chair, this Woven Leather Ottoman is absolutely beautiful. Made right here in our workshop in Chicago, this process for making the ottoman is very unique. The Leather Straps are vegetable tanned and hand-colored with a combination of waxes, proteins and mineral dyes to fully penetrate the leather. A second application of urethane was hand rubbed to seal and protect the finish. Once completely dried, it's polished by hand to a nice patina.
