About the Item
A fabulous 19th Century mahogany rocking chair, finely hand carved and of exceptional quality with beautifully rich patination, grain and newly upholstered throughout with a stunning fabric depicting scrolling folate, leaves and arrangements of flowers in hues of golds, creams, browns reds and pinks against a dark green ground. The curved cushioned back with moulded posts is raised over a pair of scrolling armrests above cushioned drop in seat and an elegantly simple moulded apron. Supported on outswept leg to the rear and finely ring turned leg with arrow foot to the fore, terminating on rockers.
