This is an antique rocking chair. An English, walnut framed armchair rocker, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880. Relax and soothe the day away with this attractive rocker Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order Select walnut stocks present fine grain interest Rich caramel hues dance beneath a wax polish finish Shaped crest rail adorned with prominent carved ears in scroll motif Tactile brushed cotton upholstery in a tasteful old moss green hue Professionally reupholstered with a complementary golden brocade trim Cushion pads adorn the swept arms, terminating delightfully in scrolled knuckles Creating a striking flourish, the arm supports are crafted with pierced scroll brackets Deep and inviting seat cushion set at a rakish angle, perfect for relaxing into Lower valance finished with a carved centrepiece at the terminus of the bowed form Superb, smooth rocking action a benefit of the long rocker legs This is a dashing antique rocking chair, appointed with a wonderful upholstery and strikingly crafted frame.
