A fantastic looking and well made piece, I have never seen another with this type of rocking mechanism to the base, its described as a cradle spring, as its sprung, you can rock from back to front and side to side, it really is very very comfortable
The chair retains all the original features, fixtures and fittings, the wheels are also period as is the makers plaque to the rear
Condition wise, the leather was restored around five years ago, it was washed back and hand dyed this lovely cigar brown colour, since then it has developed a lovely rich aged patina. The only point to note condition wise is the back left wheel rubber has perished in one section as you can see in the pictures, otherwise its sublime
