Antique Black Swedish Rocking Chair with Original Black Paint, Late 19th Century
The chair is in excellent condition, given its age and use, showing minimal signs of time and use—normal wear and tear, scratches and marks, and paint scuffs.
It is an excellent piece for a design setting or regular use. However, the frame is nearly 100 years old, so it may not be suitable for weighty people.
Traditional antique rocking chair, the 6 feet allow you to tip almost horizontally so that the rocking chair becomes practically a kind of bed. It takes a little to get used to, as you can safely go back much farther than you expect, but it's great once you get over the initial hesitation. You can also control the length of the rocking motion by adjusting your position.
