About the Item

Elegant rocking chair from the Swiss manufacturer Strässle to a design by Paul Tuttle from the early 70s.This design combines the formal language of classical bentwood rocking chairs with a contemporary materiality. The frame is a hybrid of wood and metal. The supporting elements and runners are made of metal. The curved armrests are made in black lacquered wood. The tops of the arm rests are notched over a large area. Seat surface and backrest are made of a canvas covering, which is fixed with a large buckle on the back. As outer layer, a leather upholstery is used.
