Set of Four 1970s Black Channel-Tufted Modular Lounge Chairs, Italian Modernist Style
Striking set of four low-slung modular lounge chairs. Emulating the 1970s iconic Italian modernist style. But I can't say for certain when this sectional lounge set was produced. I would be surprised if it was proper to 1970s given its incredible condition, but given the nature of this European supplier, the set couldn't be much later than the 1990s either.
Each chair features sculptural, continuous lines with a softly curved profile and deep horizontal channel tufting. Upholstered in a sleek black leatherette, the chairs have a luxurious, plush feel while maintaining the bold, architectural look associated with 1970s space-age design.
These modules can be used individually as lounge chairs or grouped to form a serpentine seating arrangement, making them ideal for contemporary living rooms, media rooms, creative studios, or retail interiors. The minimalist form, combined with the rhythmic ribbed texture, gives the set a timeless presence that pairs effortlessly with modern, Brutalist, or eclectic décor.
