About the Item

Ergonomic modular sofa sectional seating group produced by August, Inc. of Centerville, Ohio founded in 1975 by Judy and Lee Fister Jr. whose three philosophies were cornerstones of the company's work: First: the individual unit must be an art form-to stand alone or to combine with others to sculpture space beautifully; Second: that simplicity, balance, proportionä - purity of line and form,must be inherent in all aspects of the product; Third: that comfort, function, and utility be in all products manufactured. Most unique about this design is that the claret velvet covers are removable for cleaning and maintenance (or even replication). This grouping consists of six units: 3 Slipper chairs 28" High x 28" Wide by 32" Deep; 2 Slipper Wedge chairs at 45 degree angles; 1 Slipper chair with a single removable arm that is 21" high and 6" wide. Each seat is on a recessed matte black plinth. (It would be possible to change the color of these plinths). The long part of the L is ~115 inches and the shorter part is 62".
