About the Item
Elegant French Louis XVI giltwood settee with new linen upholstery, ribbon gimp and nailhead trim. The body of the settee is decorated with raised floral detail, fluted legs and an open back with exposed rails to show the upholstery. The gilding is aged perfectly, with patina and some chipping and distressing to show the gesso beneath. A lovely example of this period of furniture.
