We acquired this piece from the halls of a fabulous mansion in Encino, California, where it was enjoyed for decades, This remarkable borne settee bears the marks of time, its weathered patina telling stories of centuries past. Though believed to be from the mid 1900s, its origins are shrouded in mystery, adding to its allure and mystique.

This borne settee or conversation sofa would look incredible in a large entryway of a home, hotel, or perhaps other retail commercial space. When we acquired this piece, initially we wanted to have it ebonized, but the craftsmanship as well as overall heavy patina proved to be just too beautiful to change. This piece would look great with French Provincial, rococo, traditional, regency or Hollywood regency styling-- or perhaps you can blend with some modern artwork and furniture for a conversation piece.
