About the Item

19th century French Empire style handcrafted gilt bronze mahogany framed upholstered settee / sofa. The settee features four straight mahogany legs, the front two of which are set on gilt bronze paw feet and Gilt bronze sphinxes serve as arm rests, supporting the padded arms on their outstretched wings. The settee/ sofa is in great antique condition with appropriate wear consistent with age / use. Immaculate upholstery. It measures 41 inches high X 24 inches wide X 63 inches long X 17 inches seat high.
