About the Item

Beautifully carved mahogany with foliate and rose decoration, this striking Belle Époque settee is crafted in the typical manner of the Louis XVI taste during the fourth quarter of the 19th century. This has been recently upholstered in rose pink velvet. French circa 1880 Some evidence of previous restorations, re-glue etc. Frame is sound and upholstery in good condition.
