Founded in 2018, we specialize in family tables and other pieces that help our customers practice community and enjoy life together. We built our first table to host friends and neighbors and hospitality is at the heart of what we do. Handcrafted with traditional joinery and solid wood, our style is influenced by a mixture of Scandinavian and Shaker design, showcasing clean lines, subtle angles and soft curves. Like the Shakers, we focus heavily on functionality and seek to design within the constraints provided by real wood, carefully calculating our pieces to allow for the expansion and contraction of natural wood fibers with seasonal changes in humidity and temperature. We source exclusively from reclaimed or sustainable North American Hardwoods and finish all of our work with a natural, plant-based, VOC-free, hard-wax oil. VALUES do good work - From the way we source lumber and practice joinery to how we treat our team, we strive to do excellent work. glean – An ancient Hebrew practice of leaving the edges of the crops unharvested so that the poor and marginalized had access to work, gleaning best captures how we seek to strategically hire the chronically underemployed and encourage economic growth in Chattanooga. practice community – The first table we built was for hosting friends and neighbors for dinner.
