About the Item

This elegant Louis XVI style Swedish banquette is almost 8 feet long to be a commanding presence in a hallway, living room, or bedroom. Entirely hand-carved with laurel leaves at the crest, continuing to an open frame (like a fauteuil) with Louis XVI motifs and tall fluted legs under a pale wash white-gray pigment as expected of the Gustavian style. The long sofa has a more recent upholstery of neutral, plain muslin in travertine-tone, secured with a double welt cording. Be sure to view the detailed images to see the current condition.
