Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale lovely Victorian circa 1860-1880, beautifully shaped “Tete a Tete” Conversation couch seat with an ornately carved Mahogany frame finished with original period porcelain castors Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price A very good looking, rare and collectable pieces of Victorian furniture. This would have been used in a library or study for literary conversation, this one has a elegant English town house look and feel to it, it is very sophisticated and the lines are sublime, also I think it is the first one I have seen that is full size, usually these are much lower to the ground Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished the frame from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks here and there, nothing you wouldn’t expect from a used piece of furniture, the upholstery is fine, its circa 1940's green Velour, perfectly usable as it is however most like to reupholster these pieces in a fabric of their choosing Dimensions Height:- 89cm Width:- 119cm Depth:- 119cm Seat height:- 41cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
