About the Item

This late eighteenth century French Louis XIII style hand pegged walnut side chair features hand turned front legs and an H stretcher that provides stability. The front legs rest on bun feet. Upholstered in needlepoint with a repeating fan pattern and finished with nail head trim, this piece would be ideal as a desk chair. c. 1780.
