About the Item
American mahogany shield back side chair with over rail upholstered serpentine seat. The four vertical back rails are carved with water leaf at the point they join the serpentine crest rail. The base of the heart back is a carved demi-lune. The front legs are banded with inlaid ebony cuffs, and the seat frame retains its original corner blacks. American white pine
