A striking vintage Anglo-Indian silvered metal-clad chair, 20th century, influenced by the dowry wedding chairs of Indian Royalty during the British Raj Period (colonial crown rule in India), Neoclassical klismos form, the chair's shaped top rail terminating in ram's heads, finely detailed throughout, featuring an intricate scrolling foliate and flower pattern hammered repousse silver metal wrapped wood frame, upholstered white seat, rising on saber legs.
Regal, luxurious, and a bit unusual, it's the perfect way to add sophisticated elegance, dramatic style, and rich historical interest to any space!
