About the Item

Circa 1900 pair of Queen Anne style side chairs, English. Walnut. Originally made to match a period Queen Anne set. Double section backs, well shaped with parrot shapes in the negative space. Scroll rosettes; gadrooning at the base of the backsplat. Carved, well shaped cabriole legs, with gilding in the acanthus carved knees, beaded acanthus carved ankles ending in hoof carved feet. The back legs with rosette, gilding ending in pad feet. 41.5" h., 24.5" w., 23.25" d. Whitehall Antiques is a family business that has been a major source for the selective buyer for over 90 years.
