We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely Georgian circa 1780 Cuban mahogany hall chair attributed to Gillows of Lancaster
A very fine Georgian chair, clearly made by Gillows however as its not stamped we have classed it as attributed to. The piece has all the normal master craftsman details, the recessed back handle, the very fine carved back rest, this piece just screams understated English fine furniture and elegance
We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there is nothing but good honest patination on this 240+ year old piece

A highly important and unusual 18th century Queen Anne side chair. Featuring a shaped crest rail with fiddle back style splat and a shaped seat with scroll detailing to the cabriole legs with cutout rails joining cabriole legs above block, vase, and ring-turned and flat-shaped stretchers and resting on flat pad foot.
