About the Item
An elegant pair of Italian Neoclassical mahogany chairs adorned with patinated brass mounts from Italy. These chairs feature bold saber shaped legs and vertical lyre shaped back supports framing the unusual horizontal cross sections. Each chair back has an upper rectangular section fitted with a beautifully decorated brass relief panel while the lower splat has an elongated triangular shape emphasized with a brass mount. In addition there are circular brass roundels placed along the frame to provide points of visual interest.
