About the Item
Pair of French Art Deco chairs from the 1920s – 30s. Clean lines and elegant, typical of the period. The rounded, pointed backs and fluted front legs fit well within the style seen in the work of Ruhlmann, Dufrêne, and Leleu. The design is simple, balanced, and quietly refined, true to the straightforward character of the French Art Deco period.
Designed and made in France, circa 1925.
Provenance: Private Collection Paris.
Later reupholstered, with some stains on the velvet fabric.
Good condition consistent with age.
