A 1960s French accent chair, attributed to Jacques Adnet, seamlessly blending raw texture with refined craftsmanship. The high, gently flared backrest is intricately woven from natural rope, offering both visual and tactile warmth. A gilt iron frame, enveloped in Adnet’s signature thick saddle leather, showcases meticulous stitch detailing. The seat has been newly reupholstered in a chocolate brown woven fabric with welt detailing, enhancing its earthy, organic appeal.
In 1950, Jacques Adnet partnered with French fashion house Hermès to create a collection of leather-wrapped furniture and accessories. His designs often featured equestrian-inspired details, a nod to Hermès' heritage.
Condition: In great vintage condition, with a patinated finish to the frame. The seat has been carefully reupholstered by our team of restorationists in brown woven fabric with a heavy linen feel.
