About the Item

A most elegant French turn of the century Louis XVI st. Walnut side chair. This charming chair is raised by fine circular fluted tapered legs with lovely topie shaped feet. Above each leg are carved block reserves flanking the bombee shaped frieze decorated with a mottled design. The chair displays a wide seat below the oval upholstered back support which is decorated with a fine mottled design at the border. All original warm patina throughout.
