George II style black chinoiserie decorated armchair, circa 1950. With a cupids bow crest rail with a central raised shell carving, vase shaped back splat with raised chinoiserie decoration, flanked by cane sides, serpentine shaped stiles, a caned seat with an upholstered cushion, resting on cabriole legs with shell carved knees ending in ball and claw feet, the back legs ending in pad feet. Seat height with cushion 19.5". Seat height without cushion 17.5".
