About the Item

A superb mid 19th century Prie-dieu or prayer chair by the renowned Charles Hindley Sons of 134 oxford street - London c1850. Raised on turned front legs and splayed rear legs all with the original gilt brass casters. The rear seat rail bears the crisp makers stamp. Structurally in good solid order and retaining its original innards. As with all out upholstered seating we do offer upholstery should you wish. 32cm seat height
