Dutch School, 18th century. A deacquisition from the Museum of Fine Arts. With label affixed to underside of the chair. A very unique chair in the Baroque taste - featuring carved panels to the cresting rail and apron. Accompanied with an original Persian influenced upholstered seat.

Italian, late 19th century. An impressive and unique Neoclassical armchair, likely produced during the Grand Tour period in Italy. Featuring an impressive swirled top rail, scalloped butterfly effect to the upper splat adorned with paint painted and inlaid exotic foliage. The main back supports a finely detailed Grecian warrior against an ebony background. Sturdy walnut arms are supported by hand carved, gilded and ebonized figural lady sphinxes.
