This impressive pair of Swedish Gustavian side chairs have stylish fluted saber legs and decorative carved braided trim throughout.
The newer professionally applied antique pewter gray layered painted finish has been gently distressed fitting the age and grace of this stunning pair.
The curved back is slightly larger than most, adding to the elegant and dramatic appeal of these chairs.
Wood frames are restored, strong/stable. Signs of wear including nicks, dings, scratches, separations are a reflection of age and do not impact the function nor beauty of this pair.
The simple black upholstery has deconstructed look and feel as the purpose is to simply hold batting in place; staples visible throughout. Chairs are ready to be re-upholstered at discretion of buyer.
