About the Item
Pair of 2 Hitchcock Black Federal Side Chairs, Rush Seats.
These vintage Hitchcock chairs are black lacquer painted and embellished with ochre banding and gold stencil work. One slatback chair is decorated with a harvest design, the other chair features an eagle. Rush seats are intact and without defect. Wear on sides and legs is consistent with age and use. Both chairs are structurally solid and signed on the back.
