An exquisite pair of restored early 20th century French side chairs in the Louis XVI/ Marie Antoinette style, sourced from Provence, France. The shaped rectangular backrests and frames are finely hand-carved and finished in a creamy antique white paint with gilt accents and green paint remnants, displaying a naturally aged patina with light distressed details. Each chair has been structurally restored for lasting durability, remaining solid and stable for everyday use. Newly reupholstered in a rich olive green velvet, the seats are neatly finished with speckled brass nailhead trim. Generously proportioned seats rest on tapered, fluted legs with carved floral rosettes at the corners, ending in classic toupie feet - a refined example of the timeless Louis XVI aesthetic.
