Elegant pair of Biedermeier shovel chairs in walnut from Austria around 1820.
Walnut veneered and solid. Strongly curved back board.
Tapered square legs, straight at the front, curved at the back. Intermediate bar made of round solid walnut rod
Restored and hand-polished with shellac.
The seat cushions are removable. We have left the old, well-preserved black leather. On request, we can also reupholster it for you with a fabric of your choice.
