A beautifully restored pair of early 20th-century French Louis XVI style side chairs, sourced from Provence. Each chair features an elegant lyre-shaped back—an iconic neoclassical motif—expertly hand-carved with fluted detailing and refined proportions. The original creamy white painted finish has been carefully preserved, exhibiting a charming aged patina with delicate, timeworn distressing that lends warmth and authenticity. The seats are newly upholstered in a luxurious laurel green velvet, adding richness and subtle color contrast to the pale frames. The seat is clean-finished with a matching velvet welt band for a crisp, tailored silhouette. At each corner, the hand-carved rosette blocks are highlighted with gold leaf accents, adding a touch of quiet opulence.
