About the Item
A well designed set of four 18th Century mahogany hall chairs.In the manner of ‘Ince and Mayhew’. The oval back with dished centres and moulded central panels, above shaped seats with dished circular centres and moulded edges. Raised on square tapering legs with block feet. Made from a great grade of timber and retaining an excellent colour, patina. Very good condition with no breaks or repairs. Circa 1780.

Fabulous set of six early 20th century polychrome high back chairs with strawed seats.
Each features a prominently raised crest on the headrest, beautifully carved with a sunflower. The open ladder back features bow motifs.
The uprights feature decorative carving and terminate in stylised acorn-shaped finials. The legs are also ornately carved and the front leg brace continues the bow motif.
