About the Item
A very fine pair of 19th Century well figured, mahogany hall chairs, fabulously hand carved with gorgeously rich patination and grain. The shaped, moulded and fluted shield back with gorgeous geometric detailing to the central reserve flanked with sphere and scroll detail, beautifully carved in high relief. Raised over panelled seat with canted corners above simple front rail, supported on sabre legs to the rear and elegantly tapering ring turned legs to the fore, terminating on arrow foot.
