About the Item

A beautiful polished stainless steel and brass arm chair designed and distrubuted by Karl Springer. Karl Springer produced stylish furniture of the highest quality craftsmanship and materials. This chair is a modern chic interpretation of the Regency Revival style. The chair is not signed, but well documented, the chair appears multiple times in the 1983 Karl Springer LTD catalog. The chair is listed as "Regency Arm Chair" on page 1. The chair has its original brown leather upholstery, which is in fair to poor condition under the new upholstery which is from Kravet Fabrics. The fabric is a plush mohair in a colorway called Toasted Beige, the content is 100% Mohair Face, 100% Cotton Back (46% Mohair, 54% Cotton) and made in the Netherlands. The dimensions of the chair are as follows: Back height - 33 1/8 inches Front width -22 inches Back width - 18 1/2 inches Depth from wall - 20 1/4 inches Seat height - 18 1/2 inches. Seat depth - 16 inches Arm height - 28 inches (Mid way seat depth) The chair is heavy and weighs 33 pounds.

    Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. The chair is in very good vintage condition, there are some slight discolorations on the stainless steel and a small discoloration on the brass on the back of the chair. The seat has been reupholstered.
