About the Item

A superb pair of mid 19th century English slipper chairs. Raised on tall walnut turned front legs splayed rear legs and all with the original gilt brass Cope Collinson brass casters. Both chairs retain the original innards which are firm and intact. In the manner of and possibly by Holland Sons although unstamped. Structurally in good solid order. One chair front left leg has evidence of historic woodworm which has been treated by us and not active. 40cm seat height
