I have another of these which is the same model but slightly larger and with the cushioned back as apposed to the upholstered back like this one, it has been fully restored to the same standard and is listed under my other items
Well, where to begin! This sofa is the absolutely finest quality available today, it has a beech and oak frame that has fibre padding to the back, these come in three depths and this is on the larger size, the seat cushions are huge, the are overstuffed with down feathers, the backs of the cushions insert under the backrest of the sofa meaning you are never sitting on the edge of the cushion, this stops it sagging and offers a more comfortable seat
The upholstery is super luxurious heritage leather, its upholstered plain then hand dyed, this s
Condition wise, this pair are the only two in the entire world with this exact colour finish, they were originally hand dyed brown leather, they have then been fully restored by a Ralph Lauren trained leather polisher, he has stripped the old colour out, hand dyed each one six times, antiqued them, sealed them and then waxed them down, the end result is a very unique and desirable pair of sofas. The work has been done in such a way so as to leave in the original patination and charm, the idea being to keep the sofas looking as vintage as possible, but bring the colour and finish to life so they look straight out of a Victorian gentleman's club
