Charming sofa from the 1950s. Its overall form is rectangular, with a long, continuous seat upholstered in pink velvet. The wooden armrests introduce a graceful element to this geometry, forming sweeping arcs that rise fluidly from the base. Within these curved frames, the vertical wooden slats display undulating carvings reminiscent of classical balustrades.
Another remarkable detail is the open wooden framework at the back. Through this structure, the upholstery becomes partially visible, creating a layered visual effect that adds depth to the piece. This openness also provides a compelling contrast to the rounded, sculptural arm profiles, enriching the overall composition.
Please note that the item is in good, used condition. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier.
