About the Item
A well drawn Gothic revival 19th century country house sofa is a nice Honey coloured oak. Raised on turned and chamfered oak front legs with splayed rear legs all with the original casters. Carved arm front with pierced Gothic chamfered supports.
The frame is in good tight order as is the upholstery to the back and arms. The seat has been raised at the front with timber. It does the job and the seat is comfortable. We can remove the timber and re do the seat to a fully traditional spec.
The right back leg has had an untidy historic repair. This will be fully restored by a professional restorer before it leaves for upholstery.
