About the Item
Impressive Biedermeier sofa of Northern European origin from the early 1900s. The majestic sofa features a colossal wooden frame with several special features. We notice at the sides two large wooden arm rests with a finely carved wood rosette of tubular form. Also at the two ends we find elegant bevels that create movement and sensuality to the sofa. The feet are majestically made from curved wooden bodies, and on the front we always notice carvings as ornamentation. The sofa was reupholstered in the 1970s and still has its original velvet fabric. The velvet features graphics with wave-like patterns in different colors ( black and white) that create fascinating and classic geometries. To conclude we find two roller sleeper pillows also in the same fabric manufacture, giving timeless elegance and indescribable charm. The sofa is ideal for classic and traditional living rooms where elegance and classic taste are the protagonists.
