Full of authentic charm and character, this fine quality late Victorian decorated satinwood sofa is a beautiful and rare statement piece from the 19th century. Elegant in form and rich in decorative detail, it displays lovely colour and patina, making it a striking addition to the right interior.
A highly decorative piece, this sofa would make a wonderful focal point in a period setting. It features new professional upholstery, and is believed to have originally had a cane seat and back.
Condition
Very good antique condition overall. Structurally sound with no loose joints and no signs of woodworm. There are minor historic knocks, marks, and small repairs to the woodwork; all consistent with age and use, these contribute to its attractive, authentic patina.
