We are delighted to offer for sale this original Victorian cigar brown leather Chesterfield club sofa in restored condition with fully buttoned base and curved top arms This is a very good find, you almost never come across late Victorian Chesterfield club sofas in this condition and never with the period correct leather unless it’s in pieces. This sofa is just about as timeless as you could ever hope to find in terms of the lines look, feel and model, it’s the fully buttoned tradition tufted model, the sofa has a wonderful aged patina and has been stripped back and then hand dyed this wonderful cigar brown colour. The arms are larger than usual and curve out at the top in an almost tear drop fashion The leather hide as mentioned is totally original, it has all the patina you would expect based on the age and fair use, the feet have been customer made from solid walnut for this sofa, they have been fitted with an axle so can be removed for ease of transport Dimensions Height:- 74cm Width:- 200cm Depth:- 90.5cm Seat height:- 44cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
