Antique French Bergère "Versailles" Style Sofa – Early 1900s Edwardian Era, Walnut Frame Celebrate timeless French elegance and craftsmanship with this Bergère Versailles-style sofa, crafted in Denmark circa 1910s, during the Edwardian period. Made from beautifully aged walnut, the frame boasts exquisite hand-carved details, showcasing the artistry and skill of old-world furniture makers. The wood features a rich patina and grain pattern, enhancing its authentic antique character. The deep seat and generously proportioned frame are both elegant and inviting, with original cane panels in near-perfect condition—no holes, sagging, or stretching. It sits gracefully on carved cabriole legs, ending in classic ball-and-talon feet, adding to its bohemian French charm. This is a heavy-duty piece with a solid and firm structure and no damage to the frame. It features a traditional spring system in both the seat and back cushions, which will benefit from some tightening and reupholstery to restore it to full comfort and splendor. Seat height 43cm (16.92") and 63cm (24.80") to the armrest.
