About the Item
This elegant sofa dates from the early 19th century Biedermeier period. The frame is crafted from solid spruce wood and veneered with beautifully mirrored walnut, giving the piece a refined and harmonious appearance. The entire wooden structure has been carefully restored and hand-polished with traditional shellac, resulting in a rich, warm surface sheen typical of high-quality Biedermeier furniture.
The upholstery has been completely renewed in the traditional manner using straps and springs, and covered with a newly selected striped fabric that harmonizes perfectly with the walnut tones. The seating comfort is excellent, offering a balanced seat height and a generous, inviting depth. The upholstery is pleasantly firm and supportive, just as one would expect from professional craftsmanship. This sofa combines timeless elegance with authentic restoration, making it a highlight in any sophisticated interior.
