A beautifully crafted Louis XVI bench in beechwood, dating from the late 1700s, preserved with its original light-painted surface, showcasing a lovely and natural age-related patina.
The bench features a classic, architectural Louis XVI style with a finely carved backrest, characteristic of the period.
Gently curved armrests are finished with delicately carved details.
The straight, tapered legs with fluting and harmonious proportions emphasize the period’s neoclassical design language.
Denmark, circa 1780–1790.
