This piece is sublime, it is super decorative, the legs are a work of art, the upholstery is circa 1900 and could do with either a professional clean or replacing, usually these sofas I have upholstered in leather, hand tufted and dyed but my upholster is busy for months
The piece dates to 1780-1800 as mentioned, most likely Irish and based on the earlier George II designs which today retail in the tens of thousands
The timber has been cleaned waxed and polished, there will be some small losses, the fabric has some marks and fading
