An exquisite French mid-20th century curved sofa in the style of Napoleon III, sourced in Provence, France. The solid wooden frame is crafted in a graceful crescent form with a continuous back and sweeping arms. Upholstered in a floral jacquard velvet with raised cut-pile motifs in muted tones of gold, beige, and sage. The base is finished with a full bullion-fringe skirt, a nod to Second Empire salon seating. The sofa is structurally sound and shows age-appropriate wear to the upholstery. A comfortable scale with a tight back and seat, it can easily accommodate three to four people and presents an elegant profile suitable for placement at the center of a room or along a wall.
